Hey everyone, we're still here and still um, dizzy.

Thankfully, not nearly as much anymore, though the return to complete normality, whatever the hell that is, is eagerly anticipated.

Two Sentences: Six Commas. Yes!

On an unrelated note;

Have You Seen This Yet?

Awesome.

Ambition Strikes Back

So, since we've come down with the old Vertigo, which for the record, is caused by something we doctors like to call Vestibular Neuritis, we here at The Ryduffy have been forced to relinquish some of our favorite pastimes.

A small list of some of the activities we've been forced to stop participating in:

Basketball-(can't play, but can still watch pretty effectively)
Karate-(and just after I made it to Advanced Class)
Las Vegas-(went on a planned trip, but had to leave early, up $200)
Eating and/or Working in Restaurants-(the background noise is very unsettling to the noggin)
Burning dried Cannabis leaves and inhaling the "smoke" produced by this process-(damn)

This last one really sticks in our collective craw. Firstly, it really gets in the way of our crippling addiction and you know how frustrating that can be. Secondly, all this time spent at home would really have been made easier if we just had some way of relaxing and not noticing the passage of time. Slow, plodding, relentlessly boring time.

But the worst side effect of all this "sobriety" has got to be the return of something which we hadn't even noticed had gone. Our god-damned Ambition.

Fuck.

Before, we had been perfectly content just waiting tables, playing video games, eating Cheez-Its, and watching reruns of The Simpsons that we had already memorized years ago. But now, what with this dumb ass "drive to succeed" it's like, nooooo, we have to go and "make something" of ourselves. What a crock of shit.

Well, Nobel Peace Prize, here we come.

I guess we'll be seeing you bastards on the motherfucking cover of Time Magazine.
Slow, plodding, relentlessly boring Time.

Don't let the cool name fool you.

So, either because of our constant mockery of God, or our tendency to live the high life, or for some factor as yet unknown, we have become quite familiar with the condition known as vertigo.

We are going to switch tenses now, do not be alarmed.

All my life I've heard the word vertigo and my only thought has been that it sounds like something you'd want to have.

You don't.

I have been experiencing vertigo for three days and the way I can best describe it is that feeling you get when you just get off a roller coaster, not falling-down dizzy, but kinda woozy nonetheless.

It's also very close to stage fright in that it's disconcerting, but not debilitating.

Sorry to complain, but I thought maybe someone who reads this might have had vertigo before and can tell me what they did for it. I've spoken to my doctor and she says since it's not inherently dangerous we should take the "wait and see" approach before jumping into the expensive battery of tests and procedures to find out what's really going on.

I'm starting to think that maybe I should buck the national trend and get myself some health insurance...

Oh well, on a lighter note, I had a dream last night where I made the newspaper for being the first man on earth to be beaten up by a dolphin.

Greeting and Salutation.

Some interesting things have happened since we at the Ryduffalo took our most recent Tri-annual 2 month sabbatical:

After traveling to Chicago for yet another wildly successful Sketchfest, the men and boys of America's Favorite Sketch group The Habit returned to L.A. to take part in a three group extravaganza show, aimed at benefiting the victims of last years Tsunami, which for some reason now gets capitalized.
The Habit joined local favorites For The Kids and Troop for an evening of comedy that was a testament to just how far we could go in this town if we just stuck it out and worked hard. A week later, Dave and Mark left.

Yes folks, it's true, our good friends David Swidler and Mark Siano departed soggy L.A. for the drier-if-not-greener pastures of Seattle, which has had lots of sun and very little rain this winter, so fuck them.
Just so that we don't hurt anyone's feelings, by "them" we meant the citizens of Seattle, and not our dear friends Mark and Dave, who can go fuck themselves. It's a very slight difference, but one worth noting.
So, it seems as though all of the Habit fans in L.A. (there actually are some) may have seen the last of Diabetic Duck and Change Machine. Sigh.

Also, and perhaps more importantly, on a recent visit to our local coffee shop, we were asked by a man clad in a leather Lakers jacket if we had any spare change, and before we could even say a polite "No, sorry." the man's cellphone rang, and he immediately answered it while holding up his index finger in the universal sign for " just a sec". We offered him another, slightly more vulgar universal sign involving a finger, and that, as they say, was that.

Other things of note include;
our first attempt at Downhill Skiing (ouch) , Snowboarding (fuck this!), and this one time we went to the Post Office and there was no line whatsoever (am I being punk'd?).

We're on our way to Las Vegas this Friday, so expect a full sized entry regarding that topic sometime between Monday and September. Thanks for coming out everybody,

Courage.
